[1] Create sample FlightAware dataset #45

Closed joebayles closed 8 years ago

joebayles commented 8 years ago

Acceptance Criteria: A simulated dynamic feed that we can use to test and demo this data.

Have we decided on location/area? Monterrey, California capture a subset of time - may just be able to grab from Ben

already have FlightAware data from the team or Ben making connectable to GeoEvent flat file with rows or database table - flat file, run with geomessage simulator

spatial temporal datastore creating a separate database

not for public release - demo only, no solutions website release

┆Issue is synchronized with this Asana task

e have not been able to connect to the flight aware feed from GeoEvent team. https://app.asana.com/0/22945463227210/22945463227210 had a call in to service desk about this issue. Looks like it is time for him to escalate the issue.

https://app.asana.com/0/22677111984441/22677111984441, I'm in the process of setting up a 10.5 environment for the team to use. This machine is also a VM. I tried accessing the sample server and I was successfully able to subscribe to the sample server stream services from this machine.

https://app.asana.com/0/22945463227210/22945463227210 that is good. I think it is something to do with the nsec vm host. I would like to get the issue resolved since we will need to be able to deploy the services you develop to NSEC.

FYI, service desk is still looking into this issue. It appears this issue has been escalated to the network team. "Escalating to network team as issue appears to be related to destination site, not with clients."

The flight aware issue has been escalated to the network team. It appears there is a firewall rule blocking access via port 6443. Hope to have a resolution soon.

https://app.asana.com/0/105882774577867/105882774577867 Will the test and document tasks be able to be finished by COB tomorrow when our sprint ends?

Testing will probably be difficult since we had some issues republishing all of it to airc2.esri.com, but documentation will be written tonight.

https://github.com/ArcGIS/arcgis-solutions-website/pull/3724 for the doc. If I can't fix it in the morning, I will tag it as impeded.

Assigned testing to https://app.asana.com/0/22912127123481/22912127123481  since that fits with his tasks in creating the Alert Service

https://app.asana.com/0/22741854355650/22741854355650 I misspoke/typed. Patrick offered to take the task since he was working with the FlightAware data in his work. He also called it complete when I spoke to him before he left, so I'm calling this complete. https://app.asana.com/0/22912127123481/22912127123481 please adjust this if necessary.
