Routing with NA very slow #115

I downloaded OSM dump from geofabrik for France and then loaded OSM and created network-dataset using the toolbox for ArcGIS 10.3. However ( I mentioned a bit more here - http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/180558/route-layer-with-arcpy-and-osm-data-very-slow ) routing on the network is very slow. It took 450 seconds to connect 100 origins to destinations. Which leads me to suspect that something went wrong in the network-data generation phase?
