The Viewer and Application Builder can be configured to function in an SSL-only environment. The steps needed to set this up should be documented in the conceptual help. Salesforce ID: NIM078509

Added a new topic under the "Application Builder" heading that gives some background on SSL and outlines the process for 1) setting up the builder to always use SSL for access to services or, 2) updating an existing viewer to use SSL.
