Calcite Icons #243

Closed paulcpederson closed 9 years ago

paulcpederson commented 9 years ago

Add a subset of the Calcite style color icons in small and large. Essentially we want people to be able to use a class in html and get a colored svg background.

Icon team is currently working on assembling this set for calcite-web

@paulcpederson Sorry this might have slip through the cracks . . . what is this set? Feel free to call me.

paulcpederson commented 9 years ago

@CassidyB I was using a set from a while ago that they gave me to test with, it looked like this:

In the prototype for hollistic design we are using these in the top nav for navigating to tools:

My hope is that tools like the map viewer could start to use svg icons via html classes instead of pngs so that we can be retina ready and also use less bandwidth.

paulcpederson commented 9 years ago

I believe you said that they were working on a set that I could use when they told me to take the current one down.

CassidyB commented 9 years ago

@paulcpederson For some reason I thought this was the SVG set we just sent you that is a copy of all the icon fonts. Am I wrong?

paulcpederson commented 9 years ago

No, these are color icons. The icon font are always single color. These icons are the true calcite style.

Update, talked with @CassidyB about this, going to assemble a small set of icons that will be frequently used from the ArcGIS Online set and the Esri Web set.

CassidyB commented 9 years ago

@paulcpederson we decided to close this issue right?

paulcpederson commented 9 years ago

yes.
