Create a Crowdsource Reporter application configured for commenting within a given Reporting Period (where today is in the Reporting Period) or use the link below:

To create and configure the application...

https://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/crowdsource-reporter/get-started/configure-app/

  1. In ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro, create a feature class in a file geodatabase and add a table to the database. Add a Global ID field to the feature class and a GUID field to the table. Add a one to many relationship class to the database that uses these fields as the primary and foreign keys. Publish the feature class and table as a single feature layer.
  2. Add this feature layer to a map and save the map. Share the map to a group.
  3. Create an app using this group and the Crowdsource Reporter configurable application template.
    1. Create apps from groups: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/create-gallery-apps.htm
  4. Review and update the configuration parameter values.
    1. Open the "Reports" tab in the configuration window
    2. Toward the bottom of the page, designate a reporting period in which today is a part of the reporting period.
  5. To save and review the changes, click SAVE. When you are done, click LAUNCH to open the app, or CLOSE to return to the item details page for your new app.

To reproduce...

  1. Open the Crowdsource Reporter application in Chrome. Proceed as Guest or Login
  2. Click the "Submit a Comment" button at the bottom-right of the application.
    1. Note that the report for submitting comments opens.
  3. Open the Crowdsource Reporter application in IE. Proceed as Guest or Login
  4. Click the "Submit a Comment" button at the bottom-right of the application.
    1. Note that the "Reporting Period Closed" window appears even though today is within the active reporting period.

This is reproducible in...

  • IE version 11.1087.16299.0
  • IE version 11.1746.15063.0
  • IE version 11.648.17134.0
