Statistics of metadata requests #218

Hi,

has anyone implemented some statistics on metadata record requests ? Maybe using some of the most popular tools like "Shinystat" or AWStats to show which records are most requested and by whom.

we have some users who implement google analytics or piwik. those can track a lot in a geoportal server site.
