STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: MIL-STD-2525D Joint Military Symbology does not contain a symbol for the fire support control measure symbol Known Point.
PROPOSED SOLUTION: Artillery and mortar forward observer/sensor systems/applications, Joint Fires Observers, Fire Direction Centers (FDC) and fire support command and control systems/applications have the requirement to graphically depict a Known Point on geospatially referenced digital displays. MIL-STD-2525 does not currently support this requirement. Add a Known Point control measure symbol to MIL-STD-2525. Please see below and following pages.
