Search in report panel is not honoring config settings

I configured a custom locator on report search config panel, but the settings are not honored in the search on report panel.

In the image below, I have added San Diego locator but when I search 'Redlands' it's providing suggestions, but it's not the same experience on the search button on map. Is this a bug or by design?

We are able to see the same results for the input redland

Could you check this once, it could be due to some dev env issues.
