Highest Points model in Visibility and Range Template throws errors at ArcMap 10.4.1. #444

Synopsis: Highest Points model in Visibility and Range Template throws errors at ArcMap 10.4.1.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Download the Visibility and Range Template from http://solutions.arcgis.com/defense/templates/visibility-and-range
  2. Open ArcMap 10.4.1.
  3. Set up the following:
    • Ensure overwriting of files is allowed (Geoprocessing > Options)
    • Set your Scratch workspace to the Scratch.gdb that came with the template's data folder (Geoprocessing > Environments)
    • Set your Current workspace to the Results.gdb that came with the template's data folder (Geoprocessing > Environments)
  4. Pull the ElevationSurface raster in from the VisibilityAndRange.gdb that came with the template's data folder
  5. Open the Highest Points model from the Visibility and Range Tools toolbox > Visibility Services toolset.
  6. Draw an input area on top of the elevation surface.
  7. Set the elevation surface layer as the input surface.
  8. Name the highest point output.
  9. Run the tool.
  10. Note that you will receive the following errors:

ERROR 000735: Output Coordinate System: Value is required WARNING 00012: Elevation already exists WARNING 000728: Field GRID_CODE does not exist within table

The tool/toolbox associated with this issue has been deprecated and is no longer actively supported. Earlier versions of this toolbox will still be available from previous Releases
