Does the "use the point data 'as-is'" option for the Shortlist story map application still exist?

The readme and the FAQ says "choose Create Web App, and select the Story Map Shortlist app from the gallery of apps. If your web map contains one or more point layers, you'll be prompted to choose how you want to proceed. You'll see three options: ..." which are supposed to be:

I do not get this prompt. I get directed straight into the Shortlist Builder where everything must be entered manually.

(cross post from https://community.esri.com/t5/classic-esri-story-maps/shortlist-how-to-create-an-quot-as-is-quot-story-map-from/td-p/1017408 where there are no repsonses)

I'm using the ArcGIS.com shortlist app. Does it match the one in this repo? If not is there a summary of the differences?

I just tried making one from AGO webmap>Share>Create Web App>Select Shortlist and it asked if I wanted to import/as-is/No. What's the source of your point layer? Is it public?

Well wtf. I did get presented with the 3 options including as-is today. I tried at least 5 times before without success. I'm using the same source hosted feature layer as the previous attempts.

Aha! It's the navigation path. Open AGO web map > Share > Create Web App > Select Shortlist works while Content >> select a web map > details > Create Web App >Shortlist does not work.
