it is gets selected but the tab itself doesn't get the grey coloration like the other tabs do when you click on them. I see this a lot because, to save space, people usually have the & sign in their tab name when they want to use 'and' in the name of a tab.
If you include an & character in a tab name, the tab doesn't become highlighted when it is selected. For example, click the R & R tab in this example:
