Hi,

is it possible to use the estimote Android SDK in a phonegap app? Is there an example existing for this?

Yes, it is possible although I haven't seen any examples (only on iOS). Remember that you would need to write plugin for PhoneGap (see: http://docs.phonegap.com/en/3.4.0/guide_hybrid_plugins_index.md.html#Plugin%20Development%20Guide)
