The V2 front page is organized in several broad sections: Sunday Meetings, Upcoming (general) Events, What's New, Forums and Workshops, At the Cafe, Videos.
Some of these could be filtered based on the "event group" on the NYSEC_Date_Event content type. However, this is not sufficient because:
The current list of values for "event group" does not include values for categories like the Cafe, etc. and it is not possible to add new values once some nodes have been created in the DB
Not every entry that we want to show on the front page is an event with an associated time (e.g. main entries for Leader's Blog, etc.)
How should we organize the content so that it is easy to manage and create new content over time?
One idea is to use a new taxonomy vocabulary field on all nodes that might be referenced from the front page. See #68
