Hi. I'm Emerson Rocha from Etica.AI. This e-mail is about create extra accessible versions of the documents release by the High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities that understand English without assistance and also to make it easier for internationalization. There is a TL;DR of how to do this, extra quick links with explanations and I'm very open to help as volunteer who is doing these files.

TL;DR: 1) If the "Adobe InDesign CC 14.0 (Macintosh)" that generated the PDF "“The Age of Interdependence” Report of the High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation" does not have simple way, just open the source file and copy and paste all titles and paragraphs to a text editor like Microsoft Word or Libre Office. Then, with this text editor to be added, export 2 files :

1.1) DOC/DOCX or ODT (choose just one): keep it simple, do not embed custom fonts and very, very important, paragraphs should be paragraphs (if copy and paste from a PDF file, all paragraphs would have line breaks, make the text file and generated outputs both not "responsive" and hard for CAT tools generate good translations, because it would translate each line as a different information); 1.2) PDF: export the DOC/DOCX or ODT as PDF. Since the page will have at least 2 PDFs, call this one as "Accessible PDF" or equivalent; note that does not need put this accessible PDF or the DOC(X)/ODT file with same Visual highlight as the print version, since most users would still want to download the version;

2) Replace the actual "Key Takeaways: Summary Presentation" PDF with a version that export text as text (not 100% image like now). This file is not as important as the full report, but is a good idea to do it.

The rest of this e-mail is extra information (mostly links) about why the TL;DR and quick references if want go deeper using just the first e-mail. But I'm aware that accessibility is not easy, but I very open to help who make it more friendly, since the people will not only look what the Digital Cooperation says, but how it do it, even if it means just make more accessible versions of the final documents.

In addition to my long experience with accessibility promotion, I'm also (as volunteer) doing grassroots volunteerism related to artificial intelligence. I could tell a lot, but a quick but a short phrase would be something like "the impact of artificial intelligence will arrive earlier than access to basic sanitation or even electricity in the home of the person helping community". Most people that care about what I do on Etica.AI (and do it by heart) are the ones who does who does not speak English or already have good internet, so even in short term is easier to make them productive. And, as even people like Garry Kasparov (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhkTHkIZJEc&feature=youtu.be&t=18m45s) would agree, people with better process / better interfaces could archive better results. And people from PALOP can get inspired by António Guterres, and documents like the ones from Digital Cooperation make then aware that people like Guterres aware that he exist.
