Crashes after selecting interface

Hi! Some days Ettercap works without problem. Other days it crashes after selecting the interface in the graphical view of the program. Restarting the computer doesn't help. How to fix this?

I have v0.8.3 installed on my kali linux.

I tired to find where the make files where stored and the CMakeCache.txt file for the bug report -- where should they be?

Ive got the same issue it happens after uncommenting iptables in the etter.conf to use sslstrip it works fine on http using root.

Cool, could you please provide a archive containing the ettercap_debug logfile plus the core file that should have been created during the crash (pretending you mean a segmentation fault when you're talking about "crash").

If the core file is lacking even though you have built ettercap in Debug mode, it may be that you have to increase the limit for core dumps on your system. Here's an extract from README.BUGS:

3) override any limit for coredumps:

   # ulimit -c unlimited

Thanks for the reply I'll have to get back to you on the debug and check into increasing the core dump I switched OS from kali to parrot at the time of my first post and it worked fine after that the difference was its using the ettercap version before this latest release I will have to check if anything changes between the two.
