Google maps want you to use an API key. If you can get that then the rest is all down hill.

Other vendors exist for maps so maybe thats something that should be explored.

This looks like a free open source Google alternative for geo coding? https://geocoder.readthedocs.io/providers/OpenStreetMap.html I'm looking at using Mapbox for display, specifically react-map-gl
