xterm (WebGL) messing with fonts #6502

Open GameBurrow opened 2 years ago

GameBurrow commented 2 years ago

Describe the problem: I've seen multiple threads to suggest using xterm (WebGL) as it's faster than regular xterm. Indeed it is but I've noticed it messes with my fonts. Sometimes letters, number and symbols don't render correctly, notice the g sand some => on this image: image

Also when you paste the text, it's unreadable: image

To Reproduce:

  1. Download and install FiraCode Nerd Font
  2. Configure Tabby to use it
  3. Use tabby - I've noticed this issue mostly in WSL (using Debian, zsh and starship.rs, powershell with starship.rs seems to be okay) or when SSHing (native not WSL) into server using similar config

+1 this is happening on Windows 11, while enabling WebGL, even when using the standard Consolas font when pasting in a normal SSH session. Switching back to normal xterm resolves the issue.
