Windows is searching for Tabby.exe. | Getting error while opening Tabby in Windows 11 #9448

Description:

I recently installed Tabby version 1.0.205 on my Windows 11 PC using the provided setup file (tabby-1.0.205-setup-arm64.exe). However, upon completing the installation process, I encountered an issue when attempting to open the application.

Error Message:

After installation, I receive an error message stating: "Windows is searching for Tabby.exe".

Steps Taken:

  1. I downloaded the setup file from the official Tabby GitHub releases page.
  2. I executed the setup file and followed the installation instructions.
  3. Upon completion, I attempted to open Tabby but encountered the error message mentioned above.

Operating System:

Windows 11

bump for Version 1.0.207 aswell, exact same problem. Its prefaced in the installation by the following message:

Which translates to Tabby can not be closed. Please close it manualy and then click repeat to continue.

Also Windows 11

I think this comes down to the same issue.
