I think pseudo should be mandatory. Otherwise how would he be identified in chat, score... Concerning the avatar, we should use an existing solution like gravatar.

I think a legal/terms page is mandatory. Furthermore, messages in chat wont transit by the server so we should not bet responsible for them. I wonder if we need to display a disclaimer stating that we keep no log and they're fully responsible of what they send on this website.

If we use gravatar, then we need the user email, and that also means we open the site to external tracking :(

Agree with @Euregan. Mandatory not sure, why we can't generate funny pseudo (like some video game)? Like skribbl do too

Legal page

Agree, need to create issue about this topic. We can resolve this point in the futur, most web site don't have legal page

For the avatar, we should use the Avatar fallback from chakra : https://chakra-ui.com/avatar

So we don't need to store an image and users are easily recognizable from the others.

For the custom avatar part, why not let the users draw their own?
