No GUI in seated mode. #44

In roomscale mode, I get the floating GUI and I can grab it, move it around, resize it etc, but if I switch to seated mode, the GUI disappears. I thought maybe it was scaled down too small to see or hidden behind something, but after fiddling around with the keys that move the GUI around, resize it and change the distance to the GUI I can't seem to find it. If I switch back to standing mode, it pops right back into view.

Also, F4 (Switch GUI projection mode) didn't seem to make a difference.

Any idea what's causing this and how I might troubleshoot it?

What happens when you start the game in seated mode, i.e. start it with the controllers disabled?

So if you switch into seated, the GUIs attached to your controllers disappear as well? Because that shouldn't happen. You should have the menu tool GUIs + a GUI floating in front of you.

If I start the game in seated mode with no controllers, I get no GUI.

I did eventually get it to appear, but only after pressing ctrl-c half a dozen times (and several restarts), I eventually got what I think is the seated mode menu in front of me, but since I was switching in and out of standing mode by pressing ctrl-c, I also got the representations of the touch controllers visible in seated mode. In fact, they spawned right on top of the space where the headset views the scene from (ie the camera's view was blocked).

This all happened despite the touch controllers being turned off and sitting on a shelf behind the monitor (so there's no way the sensors could be detecting them). To stop the rendered version of the touch controller blocking the camera's view, I had to bring one into the area covered by the sensors and then move it around a little. I was then able to move it off to the side so I could see properly. Even after putting the touch controller back up on the shelf, outside the sensor area, it still showed as being floating off to the side.

Each time I cycled between standing and sitting mode using ctrl-c, the touch controllers spawned right back in front of my face. Additionally, each time I start the game in seated mode, I have no menu and have to repeat the whole ctrl-c mashing until it eventually appears.

Hope this helps. If you need more info, ask away.
