The only issue with this is that now many CSS rules are duplicated, so we may want to revisit the way this is done in the future.
Agreed. Making more extensive use of variables would really shave down the number duplicate rules and each theme could just be a straight list of colours.
I put style rules shared between the light and dark themes into a separate file. Now the theme files only contain colour rules while the "core" contains transitions, positioning, and so forth.
There was no issue attached to this, I was just about to modify the stylesheet and thought I'd reorganize some of it while I was at it.
