Animation error when scrolling down too fast #182

This isn't in master yet, but I suspect I will need to rework some non-animation stuff to fix it

Oh, I suspect this is actually an error with the fact that there's no map in the current branch I'm working on! Will need to add a fallback for when the map doesn't exist for some reason (map failed to load etc, should fail gracefully for the user)
