So I tried Fan control V199_net_8_0 with the 1.7.0-beta.2. Also tried Fan control V199_net_4_8 with v1.6.0 and both have the same problem, it's actually worse now even as it's changing the colors to solid white on fans, peach with pink on the AIO Pump. First image is what it does now, second image is what it used to do.
Hi @DegenerateCoomer, I'm not sure why that would have changed after upgrading Windows, but the RGB resetting to white is expected as of v1.6.0. Users are expected to either use an RGB program (OpenRGB or SignalRGB) or configure a static color using environment variables.
Ah ok, when I upgraded I did a fresh windows install so I got the latest updates that explains the behaviour change. Before I had set it up from over a year ago so I was on one of the first if not the first releases of the plugin. Is the change permanent or is it something that's potentially going to get reverted? If not, will just using a pre 1.6.0 release be fine? The whole reason I got into this plugin was because I wanted to ditch as many background programs as possible Icue being one of them as I was always fine with the built in default rainbow pattern so the idea of installing an RGB program is meh to me. Thanks :)
v1.6.0 will automatically restart the AIO if it locks up, which is a common problem. However, the RGB needs to be reset when that happens. I am attempting to support the default RGB presets (see #170) but the primary focus of this plugin is cooling as there are other RGB solutions available.
I have a Corsair h115i Platinum that I use with this software / plugin, when I was on windows 10 everything worked perfectly fine. Now I have upgraded to windows 11 because of the performance bump ryzen chips are getting and now Everytime this software gets loaded, it changes my fan colors to pure white instead of staying on cotton candy rainbow. It didn't do this on windows 10 so what could have changed?
