Player utils cleanup - its a monolithic beast #103
This will close #100 and close #97 simultaneously.
@SterlingHeaton your projects code was altered slightly to fit the new EMIPlayer model methods, please check it over with a diff against master or v2 branches
@JMWren Most of your stuff was easy conversions but still, a second or third set of eyes over this monster PR wouldnt hurt.
