Saving broke in 0.5 #29

It looks like saving broke in 0.5. Ive tried a few games but mainly Pokemon games.

After saving ingame i exited the emulator using L+R and choosing exit. Launching the game again will render the save gone.

Reverting to 0.4a fixed it for me. It might be related to this PR? https://github.com/EvilJagaGenius/jagoombacolor/pull/22

Other have reported the same issue here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/new-theme-for-ez-flash-omega.520665/page-50#post-9872647

I got 0.5 included with the latest Simple Menu loader for my EZ Flash Omega (not DE) and also had problems saving. So I tried manually installing 0.5 to the plugins folder (renaming the version appropriate for my device to gb.gba and gbc.gba) and it seems to work? I need to try more games, but a save state in one game and a native save in another game are both working. Maybe the copy built into the loader is faulty?

Same here on Omega Flash ODE (base firmware) on Pokemon Crystal. Native saving seems intermittent. What I found is that native save works only if you also make a save state. Native save will work if you that - even without loading the save state.

I can replicate this saving issue in Wario Land 3, same as paulocode says, native save works if a save state is made even if the save state isn't loaded. I also found native save seems to work when restarting from the emulator menu, powering off and back on after either save state or restart will load the native save fine. Using Everdrive Mini.

In case it's helpful: I have been using @lesserkuma's fork of 0.5 which is basically a batteryles mod and saving seems to work fine, I haven't been able to reproduce the saving issues neither with Pokémon or Wario Land 3.

To note, I'm running it with the .gba flashed into a bootleg cart, I wonder if this issue is only happening when loading it through the Ez-Flash...
