Pokemon Crystal (Japanese version) save problem #5

Converted with v0.4. After beating elite four, the game will save and returned to title once, so I didn't use the save/load state in GMBC. I selected boy to play the game. When I saved in game and restarted it, the boy changed to girl but still kept the boy's color. Trainer card shows my character became girl too. But if I select girl, it won't change character's gender. I used VBA and that was same problem. If I play this game without convert it, the save problem wouldn't happen.

I have cartridge but the save data will lose when the battery running out. So I really want to play this game on my flash cart. Thank you so much for reading this.

Have not replicated it yet, will be taking a look as soon as I can figure out how to get a save file to the Elite 4.
