Crystal Speedchoice Compatibility #7

First off: Happy new year and thanks a lot for this amazing fork!

I was wondering if there are any plans to make the Pokémon Crystal rom hack "Speedchoice" compatibil (https://github.com/Dabomstew/pokecrystal-speedchoice). Since most speedrunners I know use this version instead of the vanilla game for battling other runners, I think this might be a great game to be supported by this emulator.

From my tests the game starts booting but immediately freezes in a black screen right after the initial Nintendo-GameFreak-screen and before the intro video.

Replicated. As a quick fix, it appears going to Speed Hacks -> Double Speed and changing Full to Half Speed lets the game continue. I'm not sure what other issues there might be though.

Thank you, that actually works! Although I wonder why it does. Is this a common fix for many games? And why does the actual speed of the game not change after switching to "half speed"? That would've been my expected behaviour.

Also: Is there a way to save those settings between device restarts, or do I have to change that everytime I play? In long term regards it would be amazing if that could get fixed though, but since there is a simple workaround it's not urgent in any way.

For people not knowing how to change the speed: After starting a game, you can access an extra menu my holding L+R and press SELECT. There you can find the "Speed Hacks" options.
