[Feature Request] PS2 Disc Support #30

Nat, I know it's hard, but you're the only one who maintains COBRA these days, it would be nice if we could finally insert PS2 burned discs and play straight from the XMB. (non-backwards compatible models)

Back to the time when deanK added the support for burned discs on backwards compatible models via cobra, it was said that ps2 woud work only on those models and for non-backwords it would be harder, but no one invested more time and research on it AFAIK.

Maybe if cobra could identify the disc as a ps2 game it could map it to dev_dvd and launch it with ps2net_emu? idk

I feel like the first step would be to find out if disc access can be done at all with netemu, since the emulator was only ever designed to load disc images. We should start with original discs before we tackle burned discs at all. Especially since we can just load copies as ISOs in every game manager like WebMan Mod. For original discs i can totally understand why someone would want that to work though.
