Emacs write lock #405

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to a remote machine via SSHFS
2. Open any file or create a new file
3. Save the file

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Emacs creates a lock file which is a link called .#thefileyouopened ->
abo@sd-laptop.ft.local.247
It should be removed.

Instead the file does not go away, and it cannot be removed or listed from
sshfs mount

sd-laptop:main.group abo$ ls -lah
ls: .#notify.js: No such file or directory

sd-laptop:main.group abo$ rm .#notify.js
rm: .#notify.js: No such file or directory

I have to log in the remote computer and remove the file.

Seems like macfuse does not like files call .#blabla

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Darwin sd-laptop.ft.local 10.7.0 Darwin Kernel Version 10.7.0: Sat Jan 29
15:16:10 PST 2011; root:xnu-1504.9.37~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

Macfuse 2.0.3

Aquamacs 2.2
