I currently only own the Beyond the Threshold and Sanctum of Twilight expansions, and am due to receive the Horrific Journeys expansion at some point in the near future. I would appreciate anybody who owns the remaining expansions stepping in to help integrate them in. These are how I think expansion content can be integrated:
Item drops. The base scenario has quite a few item drops that reference a specific item from the base game. Minor variation can be introduced by letting these get substituted for expansion items when relevant. Conversely, some item drops (including the starting items) work on selecting random items with certain traits. For those items drops we actually need to ensure to exclude expansion cards that are too overpowered for that drop.
Monsters. Currently the base scenario only spawns monsters from the base game. For some variation we can let expansion monsters spawn when relevant.
New models for Custom Monsters. There are three specific examples that I can think of. First, the Horror's Hive could use the formless spawn model from Horrific Journeys (Since this far closer matches the hives of the source material). Secondly, the brainwashed resident could use the thrall model instead of the Servant of Dagon model (since that model is a bit overused). Third, the Cult Leader could use one of those cultist variation models to ensure that the Priest and Child of Dagon models are saved for the final encounter, making their appearance more special.
Create new map variations. See issue #3. Not for the faint of heart.
So far the scenario only uses base game content, as that's all I had when I began the massive undertaking of creating it. As I explained in issue #3 I am understandably burnt out with this project, and only wish to stay on it long enough to polish and release a 1.0 version only integrating the base game.
