We've removed auto update, replacing it with a "Check for Updates" button in the UI in version 2.1.. But I'm thinking this doesn't solve your problem, @Sozialarchiv, right? You'd like the ability to disable ALL updates from the user side, either automatic or on-demand.
Hi mgobat,
thank you for the changes. That is very nice.
Unfortunately we don't use any more the print-daemon. To many print jobs disappeared. We think that the error was rather on the server side and that the print deamon works perfectly. However, SLSP/ExLibris were never able to find out exactly what the error was, so we are now printing manually.
The concern of this issue was to have a way to turn off user updates, as we control software updates centrally.
However, since we do not use the software, the issue can be closed.
Is it possible to disable auto update to user app directory?
We installed the daemon to program files, but after a while most of the user had it in their profile app folders.
This is annoying if you are using a central software distribution system.
