GitHub Guides (Public Sector) #33

In production, but maybe in Alpha or Beta. Intended to persist and be supported.

Story:

As a broader public servant I need to understand how I (and my organization) can become members of the BCDevExc on GitHub so that we can start creating development projects.

Additional detail:

The BCGov Policy framework repo will act as the source for much of this material for V1

Success criteria:

  1. Publish at BCDevExcahnge github.com/bcdevexchange
  2. Explain how to use/promote via blog post
  3. When Developers are signing up for repo, identify that Guide must be reviewed.
  4. Include reference to "Completing" review of the Guide in Gov-Wizard Checklist.
  5. Text must include how to operate repos etc.
  6. User must register corporate email domain(s).
  7. User must register corporate email domain(s).
  8. Provide link to the BCgov’s Discovery draft of an Employee Guide to GitHub (see #233) with an invite to adapt.
  9. Provide link to the BCGov's Exploration draft of a CONTRIBUTING.md with an invitation to adapt.

    Deliverables:

    • Complete v1.0
    • Create DevExchange GitHub terms of use agreement.
