see https://www.qdasoftware.org/ -- not quite sure about the status of the project, but apparently, it is planned to develop an XML-based exchange format for transcripts. The specification has an ISO-oriented structure. There is an XML schema, but it may be for "code books" and source material only. Need to check.

Coordinator called and is interesed in collaboration. Should do this as a part of QUEST.

No news, an example would be helpful.

i asked the new contact for XML examples. the two formats are for codebooks and projects, so no straightforward mapping of transcript data only within their requirements for interoperability, but in progress.

This seems a road to nowhere...

No interest at all in structured (XML) transcription data from the developers, only RTF/TXT is supported.
