Migrate documentation to MkDocs #1

Single page documentation via the readme.md is unwieldy and not sustainable.

Past experiences with Sphinx makes me want to try out MkDocs instead. The mkdocs-bootswatch slate theme looks like it would be a good fit.

Will be using Material for MKDocs as it is well documented and comes with many bells and whistles.
