[BUG] [MC-1.18.2] Using with a Better Third Person causes Shoulder Surfing to be temporarily centered #129

Description

When switching to Shoulder Surfing and using with Better Third Person will cause some mods to use the boss shake screen together will cause Shoulder Surfing to temporarily center the view in Better Third Previous versions of Person used with your mod did not have this problem

Steps to Reproduce

1, switch to Shoulder Surfing 2, Summon a boss to shake the screen

Expected Behavior

Use the Summon boss Shake screen with Better Third Person Shoulder Surfing center

The problem lies in Better Third Person 1.9.0

Could you please contact the developer of Better Third Person and fix the problem? The previous version did not have this problem

Thanks for the report. Please also provide the logs as described in the issue template. I would also suggest reporting this to the author of Better Third Previous over here, as there is nothing much i can do at the moment about this.

Thank you for reminding me that I have raised this issue in the comments section of Better Third Person CF and as for this bug that is their problem.

I would also suggest creating an issue in the issue tracker of Better Third Person, instead of relying on the comment section.

Same happens to me when using weapons of other mods, such As cataclysmic weaponery or Tinkers construct. Would it work if I just edited the mod toml to not snap into the center on knock-up or modded weapon attack? How do I do that? xd

Thanks to @Soulbolt0, I was able to reproduce the issue. It is caused by Better Third Person, as it completely resets the camera setup in certain scenarios. There is nothing I can do about that, other very invasive workarounds, which I do not want to do.

Even if I asked nicely? Both this mod and Better Third Person are so good but with its issues on epic fight, its unplayable with all 3 together. And better third person hasn't updated 1.18.2 since well December of 2022 so I sincerely don't think I can rely on them to fix it.

Closing this, as Better Third Person is no longer supported in Shoulder Surfing Reloaded version 3.0.0+.
