currently in static crosshair mode, the crosshair ray begins from the camera. this can cause the player to suddenly turn to look behind them when there's a tall grass between them and the camera, or even for a split second when you walk behind a wall. an option (could be a slider, even) to move the ray's origin forward along the camera direction so that it's positioned next to the player's head would alleviate this.
