[ECX] Contributor per diem reimbursements

We are offering a $75 per travel day, to and from ECX, for per diem. This is meant to cover food and incidentals. To calculate the travel days, use the total number of days from when you leave an airport til you arrive at your final destination. ie. If I left on Saturday and arrived on Sunday that would be 2 days which would be $150. I will add 10% to the amounts in Upwork to cover Upwork fess.

Here's the list I'll be updating. As contributors are unable to edit comments and check boxes, I'll have to manually do this.

@mallenexpensify the key to keep in mind here is that we don't have a 100% final list of attendees yet. So my recommendation would be:

Create the gameplan for the budget/amount (assuming all 16 contributors make it), and how we'll transfer the funds to them.
We check on the status of these GHs in about 1 week to see who makes it (hopefully everyone)
Pull me in however ya need 😌

ooooooof, I'm just now remembering there's a 5-day holding period before Upwork dispenses funds. Since most contributors attending have worked on multiple/many issues, I'm assuming they don't 100% need funds before, even though we want to do what we can to get them bucks ASAP

I'll get this done by Friday :|

Hi all! Can you please comment on this issue with the total number of days you'll be traveling to and from ExpensiConX so I can send you per diem funds via Upwork?

To calculate the travel days, use the total number of days from when you leave an airport til you arrive at your final destination. ie. If I left on Saturday and arrived on Sunday that would be 2 days, one way. Please add that to number of days for the return flight to get the total. I will add 10% to the amounts in Upwork to cover Upwork fess.

Coming from the main FAQ page on the site...

Travel per diem Once you reach Curacao, all food, beverage and transportation will be prearranged for everyone. However, you will need to organise your own transport from home to the airport, and from the airport to home.

So... I think the only other expenses we need to cover, that haven't been addressed yet, are the visa fees. If you already have a comment for the per diem, can you edit that to include any visa fees? (we're covering them even in you're unable to attend)

Hi all, I didn't make it crystal clear in my OP, the per diem only counts days from when you leave your home til you arrive in Curacao. Then, from when you leave Curacao and arrive back home. Once you're onsite all expenses will be covered so there's no per diem for that. I imagine most folks would be between 2-4 days in total.

Can you double check the totals you've listed to make sure they're accurate. If there was a passport fee we'll cover that since you need it to attend.
