PR: 26447 App crashes when trying to make a money request with a user with no previous chat #27040

Action Performed:

Pre-requisite: user must be logged in. The next steps can be reproduced in online and offline modes

  1. Click on the "+" button to open the FAB menu
  2. Click on "Request money" or "Split bill"
  3. Enter any amount and click "Next"
  4. Select users with whom you have no previous conversations as the assignees
  5. Click on "Request" button to confirm

Expected Result:

The IOU request should be successfully created

Actual Result:

The app crashes after clicking on the confirmation button
