[HOLD] [LOW] [Splits] Start regression testing for #vip-split #33031

Coming from this Slack conversation, I need to ask Applause to start doing regression testing for this milestone. These instructions look like the ones to follow.

I'm rushing out the door rn, but will circle back to this tomorrow. Wanted to create a placeholder GH for now.

just shared a pre-design today, so i'm gonna hold off on this until we get some engagement with that, so make sure everyone is aligned on this direction and we know what we're going to be testing for.

The project management checklist in the tracking GH lists regression testing as one of the steps after the design doc detailed section as been reviewed, so I'm gonna put this on hold until then.
