Action Performed:

  1. Go to https://staging.new.expensify.com/
  2. On login page enter new Expensify account and tap Sign in button.
  3. Open email and navigate via Magic link

Expected Result:

Your space chat appears immediately in LHN when login with a new account via Magic link

Actual Result:

Your space chat appears with delay in LHN when login with a new account via Magic link

@trjExpensify I haven't added the External label as I wasn't 100% sure about this issue. Please take a look and add the label if you agree it's a bug and can be handled by external contributors.

I'm a little confused by this issue tbh.

  1. Go to https://staging.new.expensify.com/
  2. On login page enter new Expensify account and tap Sign in button.
  3. Open email and navigate via Magic link

We support unvalidated sign-ups on NewDot now, so why is step 2 not just logging you in? 😕 CC: @techievivek

Can't reproduce this on browserstack either, and step 3 is incorrect. I'm just logged in. Adding the retest label.
