Action Performed:

1. Navigate to account settings > Profile
2. Click on "Contact Method"
3. Click on "New Contact method"
4. Add a email > Add
5. In the verification page go Offline and return back online

Expected Result:

User is not Navigated back to "New contact method" when going back to online

Actual Result:

Navigated back to "New contact method" when going back to online

@zanyrenney FYI I haven't added the External label as I wasn't 100% sure about this issue. Please take a look and add the label if you agree it's a bug and can be handled by external contributors
