Proposal: Enhance the workspace creation flows to improve user experience and reduce support inquiries.

Background: Our platform enables members to create and manage workspaces to support collaboration and productivity. Providing a seamless and intuitive workspace creation experience is essential for user satisfaction, conversion rates, and minimizing support requests. A streamlined process helps users efficiently utilize the platform's features, leading to better engagement and productivity.

Problem: When users attempt to create a new workspace, they become confused by the current interface, which leads to frustration and increases the number of support inquiries.

Solution:

  1. Simplify Workspace Creation:

    • Consolidate Options: Remove duplicate or unnecessary workspace creation buttons to present users with a single, clear option for creating new workspaces. This will reduce confusion and enhance the user experience.
    • Design Consistency: Ensure that the workspace creation interface is consistent across all parts of the platform to provide a unified experience.

  2. Standardize Workspace Creation:

    • Unified Restrictions: Apply consistent workspace creation restrictions across all access points, including the workspace switcher, to prevent unauthorized or unintended multiple workspace creation outside of Settings.
    • Policy Communication: Clearly communicate any restrictions or requirements for workspace creation within the flows to keep users informed.

  3. Improve User Guidance:

    • Enhanced Prompts: Update interface prompts and messages to provide clear instructions on how to create and manage workspaces effectively.
    • Educational Resources: Offer tooltips, tutorials, or help articles accessible directly from the workspace creation flow to assist users who may need additional guidance.
