Small enhancements and fixes

Some small things

Fixed the issue with the versioning since it was getting called only when the component didn't exist - we could actually call it at the top level
Added a check for empty folder in case people unstage change but leave the folder in, happened to me while testing Video Player
Added a code example for the config for the lazy people that don't check the README.md (basically me)
