In EESDR3 0.11.0 alpha 31122021, the VFO lock function prevents TCI from changing the frequency. This might be desirable sometimes but I think we need a lock that does not prevent TCI from changing the frequency. So, for example when using FT8, I want to lock out the manual inputs (mouse or dial) from accidentally changing the frequency but still let JTDX change the frequency. With the VFO lock the wait it is currently, you cannot do this because locking the VFO inhibits TCI frequency change as well.
The suggestion is that you can have different kinds of locking. Click the lock once and you get manual input lock (which allows TCI to change the frequency like in EESDR2), and click it again and you get a full lock. Click it again and you unlock the VFO. I think something like this should give us the best of both worlds.
