No scan results on LineageOS 17.1 #7

I guess all the problems are because incompatibility with Lineage OS or The app not being updated for a while. I've to throughly check what's happening.

The most interesting part is, it didnt ask for permissions but it used to and it told to do that.

Just tested with LineageOS 17.1 and same thing. Also it doesn't prompt for any permission on first launch and app closes with Permission error or something like that.

I came to know that this issue can come from LineageOS's battery-saving algorithms.

Testing on LineageOS 17.1. Has improved a little bit, but doesn't work as expected.

When opening the app for the first time, click on Wifi symbol and scan, displays all wifi networks (which didn't happen on previous version). However, clicking on any network doesn't do anything. It just blinks the selected network and makes a sound, but stays there. Then I click on HELP, OKAY, and then no wifi is displayed on next scan. I have to hide the app and reopen it again to work.

I'm wondering if you tested it on LineageOS 16 or 17.1

Providing custom rom support is quite hard because I've only single device, to check on my device I have to flash LineageOS, so, I'll try to do it later.

I'm currently working on a serial version of this app, that would be way better, faster and convenient.

If there's something every developers has to support, it is android stock with its Google Pixel, and LineageOS, which are both the official releases from Google and the alternative OS to any outdated smartphone. Those 2 are a must. I'm not saying that you support the BlackBerry Priv, which I don't think can even be rooted. But those 2, yes.

I'm using Evolution X and it's working well, I previously used Miui and it also worked as expected.

So, I can expect it to run on pixel too, if not it's a specific OS related problem, or a little changes in implementation of wifi APIs.

It will take some time but with the serial based system, it'll work seamlessly on every OTG enabled device regardless of what OS it's running.

I could do some research with lineage, but I've some personal projects and a lot of collegework to do.
