It would be also nice to have auto-refreshing possibility. As far as I can see - there is no such native functionality which makes "Unread folders" uncomfortable to use over time : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1420191
My workaround has been to switch folder views. With this extension, that means clicking the right arrow and then the left arrow to temporarily switch to another view and back.
@SpareSimian that is exactly how I use it today :) but it's nice to know if we can have auto-refresher available within this addon - hence this question.
I'll check what I can do on auto refreshing the unread folders pane.
For now you can also switch panes by shortcut, e.g. Alt+Shift+9
(Windows) / Command+Shift+9
(macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+9
(Linux) to switch to the next pane (use 8
for the previous pane).
Thanks very much @arndissler - that would be a great addon !
Hello Arnd
Thanks a lot for your reply. Looking forward to such a possibility.
Another idea for refreshing the /unread folders /pane could be to link the event to the 'Get Messages' action, no matter if triggered automatically (timed) or through user interaction (Shift F5, F5 or via menu)...
Of course, if not suitable from your point of view, just discard the idea....
Tnx & best regards,
Peter

The 'unread folders' are the only ones that change dynamically depending on new incoming mail and/or whatever the user has actually read or has marked as 'read'. It should be possible to update the shown 'unread folders' by hitting a key or clicking a button to reflect the actual and current situation. Tnx, P.
