A few things and ideas #20

  1. When opening the crafting interface, it always opens with "Show all known recipes". Is this normal? if yes, is it possible to change it to be "Show craftable recipes" if the interface is opened like in the original?

  2. 45 craftingstation slots are way to much. Even with the original size it was very possible to have nearly anything in it. Most big mods add combined crafting station for it.

  3. The sort buttons are very nice, but also very small. Maybe you can remove a row of crafting station slots (30 is still very much) and then make the sort icons in two rows and also a little bigger. Maybe this can work.

  4. Maybe you can add a remote crafting interface. I bet this isn't hard to code, just the remote interface that opens the crafting gui.

There's a config option for 1.

i think 2/3 are potential candidates for a config option (if there isnt one), but 45 is a good amount of slots, as while often mods do include combined crafting stations, many dont, and some mods require irregular items or stations that are not hooked up to this 'omnistation' even with combining all the vanilla stations into one station (fargos crucible of the cosmos) all my slots are nearly full because of other mods with stations that do not combine into bigger stations, or require irregular ones not usually used.

potential other option for 4, is to make the regular remote interface be able to open a crafting interfact if the location is set to that rather than the heart, instead of having two seperate items.

I usually play with (only counting the big content mods):

and with those the original craftig station slots where still a good amount. Sure, in the early game it can get a but full but after that it's very doable. Having so many slots kinda defeats the purpose of crafting combined crafting stations (except for fargo's because you need the station to craft other things).

So my take would be having max. 30 slots (Or even better just 15, still 5 more than the original) and the saved place can be used to enlarge the sorting icons. That should be the default and if wanted or needed a config could be added to change the amount to a multiple of 15.

And for Nr. 4, could it be possible to store the heart and also the crafting interface location and access the different interfaces with left click for the normal storage interface and with right click the crafting interface?

oh cool another person who is gonna be pissy about me liking to play with lots of content! why are there so many of you.

if you dont have many mods, of course its going to be enough, but not everyone plays with "whats necessary", and the combined stations are generally useless for magic storage anyway because they arent intended for use with it, just intended to plop down on the ground in a normal world without magic storage.

I am just curious how how you can have so many stations. Even with adding more big mods like jost mod, element's awoken, tremor etc, I can't imagine having such many stations. Most of them add maybe one station.

And how can combined stations be useless for magic storage? xD Without then you really would need that many slots.

For example Honey Buckets, Lava buckets, and Water Buckets are all crafting stations, and Ive only seen Alchemist NPC cover this in a crafting tree (Fargo has the sink which count as a water bucket technically but still.)

Edit: However I will say this; Fargo's MUTANT has the omni station and this mod is a must-have for me. But even then I sometimes run out of slots with it for mods who don't have an omni station like Redemption Mod for reference
