Add ICC color profile support would enable far greater accuracy in colors when handling files from a variety of sources and formats. Ideally, it would include the following capabilities:
identify and/or extract a color profile used in an image so that it can be saved for later use
load, add, or apply an external color profile to an existing image
convert from one color profile to another
remove the color profile, either negating the profile's impact or "burning in" the changes to the colors
