Offline login feature for Lenovo Tab 4 10 TB-X304F #229

Hi @ifoche

We are getting reports that the offline login feature is not working for the Lenovo Tab 4 10 TB-X304F running Android version 7.1.1.

Have you received any report from your end relating to this device?

Attached is a local database from a Lenovo Tab 4 10 TB-X304F. compressedData.zip

We are still facing this issue with version 1.4.5

@timkmac - would it be possible to get an screenshot or a video? The more info, the better. Ignacios team has now agree to confirm the reproducibility of this problem before the end of this week (e.g. by Jan 31)

@rodmelia We have this screenshot of the user attempting to log in when in offline mode.

This particular device is running Android version 7.1.1

A Lenovo Tab 3 7 running Android version 6 does not have this problem.

I have requested for a recording of this issue to help with the troubleshooting.

As discussed with @rodmelia we currently cannot replicate the issue on an emulator with 7.1.1 Android version. Our only guess right now is that in a similar situation in the past, all the problem came from an MDM configured in the platform limiting the permissions of the app. So waiting for the confirmation whether this device could be also having that particular problem

We will be testing tomorrow on the same device, using MDM and report back from Nairobi.

as explained via email, the origin of the problem was actually in how the device without SIM was answering to the question of the presence or not of network in the cellular network side.
