Application Hanges When Clicking on "block" Check Box Prior to Conversation Start #18

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the application
2. Click on the 'Block Message" check box before clicking the "Start 
Conversation" button.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect the application to throw an error. Instead, the application hangs.

Since the "Block Message" check box should not be used at this point anyway, 
the simplest solution is to disable the check box between conversations.
